Join Saints' Singers

Would you like to join Saints’ Singers? We’re always on the lookout for singers to join us! We are a friendly group of un-auditioned singers who enjoy working together each week to learn new music, sing in harmony and to entertain audiences.

You don’t need any musical training and you don’t need to be able to read music. What we do ask of you is enthusiasm and a willingness to try new things! If you're still not sure, why not read some of the testimonials written by our current singers.

If you’d like to join us, please come along to a rehearsal, watch and listen, and at the end of the evening you can talk to our Musical Director about the voice part you might sing. That’s not as scary as it sounds – we usually ask new singers to self-identify their voice part and after a few rehearsals our Musical Director will check in with you.

Soprano – The soprano part often sings the melody. This is the highest of our voice parts and our typical soprano range is middle C to top F.

Alto – Our alto part often sings the harmony. Our alto section frequently splits into two parts – we have Alto 1 who sing a part that sits in the middle of the Soprano and Alto 2 parts, with a range of A below middle C to a top D. Our Alto 2 part sings the lowest part, with a range of F/G below middle C to C above middle C. Altos usually have a richer, mellower voice than sopranos.
