Each year Saints’ Singers raises money for a charity, typically at Christmas time. However at the start of this year, Saints' Singers very sadly lost a much loved friend and fellow singer, Jean Richmond, only a few months after her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Jean had sung with the choir for many years and her kindness, humour and friendship are much missed by the whole choir. As a group, we have therefore decided to dedicate our summer concert to Jean and to fundraise for Pancreatic Cancer UK in her memory.

We will have donation buckets out at our summer performances at Burton in Bloom and at our summer concert on 11th July at All Saints' Church, Winterton. Alternatively, donations can be made via our JustGiving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/saintssingers2026

About Pancreatic Cancer UK:

Pancreatic cancer is the toughest of cancer challenges. For too long, it has been a type of cancer that has been overlooked, underfunded and left behind. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers. Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case: more than half of people with pancreatic cancer don’t survive beyond three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto.

People with pancreatic cancer deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. So Pancreatic Cancer UK are aiming to double survival rates, enabling many more people to live long and well. We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. We bring more breakthroughs through investment in research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
